I've been thinking lately that my belly is getting bigger.
When I got on the scale last night, I was surprised.
I weighed 71.5kg, the biggest weight ever.
This is not good. This is very bad!
In the medical checkup questionnaire, there is a section to write whether or not you have gained 10 kg in weight compared to when you were younger.
When I was in my 20s, I weighed about 56 kg.
Although I gained weight after that, I kept my weight at about 65 kg. I was just barely under 10 kg, so I was not too concerned about it.
In my blog of September 13, 2020, I wrote that I hadn't weighed myself on the scale in a long time and that I weighed 70 kg.
So I dieted a little and weighed down to 67 kg, and was relieved to find that I had maintained that level for most of the rest of the year.
What could be the cause?
The amount of food has not changed much. In fact, I even think it has decreased a little.
Is it because I am getting older and my basal metabolism is declining?
When I was working for a company, I used to walk more than 10,000 steps every day, including commuting.
Since the end of last year, I have been sitting at my part-time job four days a week for a long time, and I walk only about 6,000 steps a day.
On my days off, I walk less than 2,000 steps, which is probably due in part to my lack of exercise.
Since it is difficult to increase physical activity, I will try to reduce the amount of food a little and cut back on evening drinks.
My goal is to lose 5 kg. Let's go for it!
