Great translation site

This blog is like a diary or a memoir, and the main reader is yourself.

The English version is available so that my wife can also read what I think about on a daily basis.

It's a Japanese blog and my wife can not read it.
I'm making the English version because my wife might be anxious if she doesn't know what I'm writing about, and maybe eventually, when our children can read English, they will be interested in reading it.

My English is often lacking in everyday conversation. Still, I am able to prepare English versions of my Japanese blog posts, thanks in part to Bogo, a wordpress plugin that allows me to create pages in other languages, and in part to a great translation site.

Not so long ago, translations on translation sites were not very useful, but now I'm using DeepL which is nothing short of amazing.

DeepL is a company located in Cologne, Germany, that achieves translation with deep learning.

Deep learning, simply put, is a machine learning mechanism that enhances the ability to learn by connecting a large amount of data in multiple layers, like a brain that learns by functioning with many neurons coupled with synapses.

I'm not sure how well it works, but it uses a lot of data to give us the best translation.

For example, if you type "Yatsu wa warui yatsu da" in Japanese, it translates to "Be careful, he's a bad guy. The Osaka dialect seems to understand "Sore wa akan" is accurately translated as "It's not good".

My blog is also very easy to translate into English, which is a big help, but the Japanese language is characterized by its almost total lack of subject matter. Therefore, when I ask for an English translation, it is better to supplement the subject to make it more accurate.

The year is almost over, but my pick for best site of the year goes to DeepL!
