The Philippine Department of Tourism has launched the "Let's Visit the Philippines" campaign from June 1 to June 30, which is a tourism campaign for Japanese visitors to coincide with Independence Day on June 12.
Although the campaign is short, the travel is eligible for one year, until departures in June 2023, which is quite a long time.
Participating in the campaign are the Hotel Sales & Marketing Association of the Philippines, Philippine Airlines, and Cebu Pacific Airlines.
I looked at the campaign links, but as far as Cebu is concerned, there are only a few eligible hotels and the prices are not cheap. The hotel booking sites are much cheaper.
The promotional price is listed as up to 75% off, so I would like to take advantage of it if available.
However, as far as I can tell, there is no difference between the discounted fares and regular fares of Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific Airlines. Therefore, the campaign does not seem to make sense to me.
Cebu Pacific is running a campaign of 6,000 yen until June 9, but since Cebu Pacific is originally a company that sells these very low fare tickets, I do not think this is part of this "Let's go to the Philippines" campaign.
I am looking for information on the internet, but so far I am unclear about specifics, so I will do some research.
