China's intransigence is getting worse and worse.
China's ambassador to the Philippines has said in public that it is wrong to bring a bully like the U.S. into Asia, in response to the Philippines strengthening an existing agreement with the U.S. and adding four new bases available to the U.S. military, according to the Chinese ambassador.
Not only that, he even threatened that there are 150,000 Filipino OFWs (Overseas Filipinos Working for the Philippines) in Taiwan, and that he would not be able to ensure their safety in case of an emergency.
Not only do they build artificial islands and establish military bases in the Nansha Islands, far from the Chinese mainland, and prohibit Filipino vessels from entering their territorial waters, they also do whatever they want, including chasing Philippine fishing boats and irradiating coast guard ships with lasers.
It also violates Japanese territorial waters of the Senkaku Islands almost daily against Japan.
A few days ago, it declared a no-fly/no-sail zone in Japan's exclusive economic zone on the grounds that rockets launched by China might fall into the zone. This is despite the fact that Japan is the only country that has the authority to do so and China has none.
Clearly, China is a threat to global stability.
China says that since Taiwan is part of China, it is an internal affair, and that it is interference in internal affairs if a foreign country says something about Taiwan that does not agree with China's wishes
The Republic of China (ROC) was established in Taiwan after the defeat of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Kuomintang (KMT) in a battle on the Chinese mainland.
The ROC is an independent country with all the requirements of a nation. Therefore, it is not an internal affair as China claims.
In any case, it is wrong for China, which has rapidly gained power, to behave unduly toward neighboring countries by force.
China, which has been conducting hard-line diplomacy in the name of "war-wolf diplomacy" for the past few years, apparently has never heard of the phrase "the weaker the dog, the more it barks.
postscript
The newly appointed Chinese ambassador to Japan is said to have said that Japan's perception of a Taiwan emergency as a Japan emergency is that such an approach "will bring the Japanese people into the fire. This is tantamount to saying that the Japanese people will be slaughtered by the Chinese if they do not agree with the Chinese way of thinking, which is a threat.
Some have said that this statement is like that of the "yakuza," who live in a world of duty, humanity, and benevolence. The Chinese government, however, has no sense of duty, humanity, or humanity. The worst kind of outlaw is the China of today's Xi Jinping.
