My old Bose commpanion20 multimedia is connected to my new computer, so I bought and used a JBL104-Y3 for my old computer for my recording room.
Bose speakers are characterized by their low frequency range, and although they are small, they produce bass that sounds like a subwoofer. In that sense, they sound like Bose.
The JBL104-Y3 has an overall coherent sound, and I like it better than the Bose because it has a tighter bass with more volume in the low end.
It's good enough for me to listen to music and watch movies.
This speaker is positioned as a monitor speaker, but its overall reputation as a monitor speaker, including sound localization, is not good.
I don't have any monitor speakers (I still use the 10MT, the little brother of the YAMAHA 10M, which is a typical monitor speaker, but this is a home theater speaker, not a monitor speaker), so I can't evaluate it in any way.
Anyway, it seems that the JBL104Y-3 cannot be used as a monitor speaker.
Since I am not a serious DTM player, but I am planning to make money professionally by producing sound programs, I decided to buy a full-fledged monitor speaker.
So for the past two weeks I've been doing a lot of research.
My first choice was the YAMAHA MSP5, which is used by many DTM professionals and studios, but after some hesitation, I decided to buy the YAMAHA MSP3A because of its price and the size of my work environment, including the size of my room.
It may sound like an exaggeration to say that I was determined, but since I was purchasing equipment for professional use, not for hobby use, the cost of the equipment was an investment. and I needed to be determined to make a profit that would be worth the investment.
With this determination, I bought a pair of them on Amazon: ・・・・・
It was delivered the day before yesterday, but in one package. I opened the package, but there was only one unit in it.
So I cancelled the order with a complaint email and placed another order.
And today the delivery woman brought the product. Again, there was only one package. In other words, she only brought one unit.
This was expected to some extent, so I had changed the delivery method to face-to-face pickup this time, although I usually use the onsite delivery method.
I talked to her who delivered it on the spot about the situation and asked her to take it back.
I immediately called Amazon to see if they had received any other similar complaints, but they said that they had not received any complaints regarding the delivery of goods in pairs.
I'm guessing it's a mistake in the product registration at the warehouse where it's being shipped (two units are registered as a pair, mistakenly thinking the packaging is one), but it's not like Amazon.
So, I had to cancel both times.
I feel as if God is telling me not to buy it this time.
If I place the order again, I might get two units for the third time, but as they say, twice is as good as three times.
Either way, it's something that bothers me.
