The Balikbayan box that I sent to Cebu Island at the beginning of last month was delivered on December 11.
Sagawa Express came to collect it in the evening of November 5, which means it took 35 days to arrive.
It might have arrived a little faster in Cebu City, but even so, I heard that it usually takes about a month and a half, so it arrived unexpectedly fast.
I'm glad it arrived so quickly because I thought I might not be able to get it in time for my daughter's birthday (December 27) since it's the Christmas season, but in some cases I might have to wait until the new year.
Aside from the sweets, what the kids were really excited about were the smart phones.
Since they are still very young, they will probably use it mostly as a gaming device, not for making phone calls or sending e-mails.
It was a little early for a Christmas present, but I'm glad he was happy.
