Report anything you find to the police.

July 4. A collector who had finished collecting money at a kiosk at the South Road Properties mall (probably SM Seaside) in Cebu City was heading to Mandaue City on his motorcycle with the collected money in his backpack.
On an overpass, the zipper of his backpack unfortunately opened and he dropped the money on the road.
The driver of the car that was entering behind him immediately informed the collector, but the money was scattered on the road by the wind.

When people saw this, they all stopped their cars and started picking up the money.

The money in the backpack was 4 million pesos (about 10 million Japanese yen), a large sum of money for the average Filipino.
The collector who dropped the bag also hurried to pick up the money, but was only able to recover 2.08 million pesos in the end.

The scene was spread via photos and videos on Facebook, showing people stopping their cars and picking up the money. The police can identify the people who took the money and are encouraging those who picked it up to report it to the nearest police station. If they do not report it, they are announcing that they may arrest them for theft.

To add to the honor of the Filipinos, not a few of them handed the money to the collectors on the spot or reported it to the police station. Furthermore, since the place where the money was dropped was on an overpass where strong winds were blowing through, it is believed that a significant number of the money was scattered on the sea by the wind, according to a local newspaper.

In response to this incident, the police department has advised people not to use motorcycles or other vehicles to transport large sums of money, but to hire a security company to do it for them.
