Bookstore that was my favorite

On May 8, the main branch of Sanseido Bookstore in Kanda Jimbocho, Tokyo, was temporarily closed.
The reason for the closure was to rebuild the building, which opened in 1981, into a new building due to its advanced age.

Apparently there were about 1.4 million books on the sales floor up to the sixth floor of the building. So when I wanted a book, I would go to the Sanseido main store, which had a large quantity of books, and often I could actually get the one I wanted.

I remember when I lived in the countryside, I would always stop by whenever I came to Tokyo.
Bookstores are a wonderland for me, and I never get tired of spending hours in them. And Sanseido Bookstore sells so many books that I could spend half a day there.

Later, when I was working at the union headquarters in Kanda-Shimachi, the main Sanseido bookstore became my favorite bookstore.
The first floor was always crowded with people, probably because of the literary books, new publications, and magazines on the first floor.

These days, I mostly buy books from Amazon, which is very convenient because I can get the book I want the next day. On the other hand, I can't enjoy the pleasure of spending time at a bookstore looking at the spines of books or browsing through books I happen to see. Therefore, I think it is important to have a favorite bookstore, but I am too lazy to go all the way to a bookstore.

Come to think of it, the only bookstores I've frequented in the past were near my office or by a transit station.
I should try to find my favorite bookstore again without being lazy.
