The rainy season in the Kanto region ended on 22 July, but as far as the Kanto region is concerned, it was an empty rainy season. There were hardly any days when umbrellas were used.
However, the heat is relentless, with 12 extremely hot days in July alone exceeding 35 degrees Celsius.
Even when the maximum temperature is said to be 37 or 39 degrees Celsius, it does not cause any emotion.
The heat has hit not only Japan but also other parts of the northern hemisphere world, with a maximum temperature of 53.7°C in Iran, an unimaginable level. In Europe and the USA, the temperature is said to be over 40 degrees Celsius.
Compared to that, 35 degrees Celsius is not a problem.
This makes it laughable that people go to Thailand for a summer retreat because it is relatively cooler in the tropics.
In the meantime, I would like to express my deepest sympathies for the extreme heat. Everyone, please be careful of heat stroke.
