Trip to Kumamoto and Fukuoka Part 4:Come back early for a day of merrymaking.

I went to Bar Wa I, a restaurant opened by a friend of mine on October 4.

The shop is located on the street between Fukuoka Sakurajuji Hospital and Family Mart Watanabe Dori 3-chome, a short distance from Watanabe Dori Station on the Nanakuma Subway Line, in the direction of Tenjin. It is marked by a mushroom sculpture and an Italian flag.

Opening a restaurant amidst the effects of the new coronavirus is adventurous, but she originally planned to quit his job and start a restaurant once he reached a certain age.

Bar Wai is an Italian word meaning a cafe and a place to have fun. It means a place where everyone can get together and enjoy eating Italian and Japanese food.

We ordered the "recommended fish dish", which was grilled sea bream with colorful vegetables and balsamic glaze, and the "recommended meat dish", which was spaghetti with fresh pasta. The "recommended meat dish" as shown in the picture, and the spaghetti with fresh pasta.

All of them are very delicious, especially the chunky texture of the fresh pasta, which is addictive.

There are all sorts of alcoholic beverages, but it's rare that the beer is called "Heartland". I'm even more glad because I've been watching Heartland on Netflix recently. Of course, there are various kinds of wines to enjoy.

I was particularly interested in an Italian sparkling wine called Ferrari. Apparently the Italian word for sparkling wine is spumante. They serve it in special glasses at this restaurant. I'd like to try it next time I'm there.

After enjoying good food and wine, we wandered down to Canal City to see the fountain show and returned to the hotel.
