It was September 5 when I started dieting because I weighed over 70 kg and was clearly overweight.
My goal was to get down to 65 kg by the end of the year, which I achieved this morning, earlier than my goal.
That's a weight loss of 5 kg in two months.
The ideal weight loss per month is 5% of one's body weight.
70 kg is 3.5 kg per month, so 2 months is 6.825 kg or less is an appropriate diet.
so 5 kg weight loss is OK because it is well within the appropriate range, and I could lose a little more at a faster pace
My diet is simple: I eat less than usual.
In fact, I think I could lose weight more efficiently if I incorporated exercise into my diet, but I don't exercise because I don't have the time and I firmly believe that unfamiliar exercise is bad for my body.
The best thing about the diet is that I am no longer short of breath when climbing stairs. In the worst cases, I would get a little chest pain as well as shortness of breath, so I am pleased to see that this has improved.
My optimum weight according to BMI standards is 59 kg, so if I lose another 6 kg, I will be at the optimum weight.
When I was 20 years old, I weighed 57 kg, so my weight at that time was ideal.
In a health checkup questionnaire, there is a section that asks if you have gained 10 kg or more compared to when you were 20 years old.
If you have gained 10 kg or more, you are said to be at higher risk of developing lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
I have high blood pressure, but fortunately no signs of diabetes. When I go to the hospital, they tell me to take blood pressure medication and prescribe drugs, but I ignore them because I think it is normal to have high blood pressure as I get older.
My next goal is to lose 5 kg to 60 kg.
I hope to achieve it by the beginning of March.
When I reach that weight, I expect to have a smaller face than I do now. Is that too much to ask?
