The regular monthly drinking party finally took place for the first time in a year and ten months.
The reason for the hiatus was the coronavirus. The last regular meeting was on January 28, 2020.
Eight people gathered this time.
It had been almost two years since the last meeting, but everyone was as energetic and friendly as ever.
The name of the club is "bouken Club" (冒険俱楽部). The club was originally started as a club for discussing novels and movies in the mystery, science fiction, and fantasy genres at the headquarters office of the labor union to which I belonged, but before I knew it, it had become a mere drinking club.
It has continued as a regular monthly meeting for nearly 10 years now.
I am already an alumnus, but thankfully I am still treated as a member.
It is a group of friends who have no interests in each other and are not afraid of each other, so it is fun to have a drink
In addition to regular meetings, the Adventure Club also publishes a newsletter about once a month, but it is almost exclusively written by the general manager, with the only other contribution being an editorial postscript by the secretary. We have been calling for contributions, but no one contributes, probably because everyone is busy.
I have not contributed anything since a long time ago.
The same alumnus, who was my mentor, suggested that I post something interesting in this blog post, but I responded that I would post a newly written post because blog posts are like a diary.
If you don't have to post or not post, you have to get someone to push you to do it or you will just go without posting.
So, as I promised my mentor, I am going to write and submit a short article for the next bulletin.
Now, what shall I write?
