I am happiest when I am with my family.

The same survey by Dai-ichi Mutual Life Insurance, which I mentioned in the section on "What occupation do you want to have when you grow up," also asked about "when you feel happiest.

For elementary and junior high school boys, "playing games" was the most common choice, while for high school students, "being with friends" was slightly more common than "playing games.

In the case of girls, "When I am with my family" was the most common choice for both elementary and high school students, and "When I am with my friends" was the second most common choice.
Playing games" was ranked fourth among elementary school students, but not in the top five among junior high school and high school students.

For boys, "When I am with my family" ranked second among elementary school students, and third among junior high school and high school students.

Compared to boys, girls are more likely to feel happy in their relationships. In addition, the third place for girls is "when I'm eating good food," which is also typical of girls.

When I'm with my family" is also the top choice for elementary school students, but for high school students, "When I'm with my friends" is in a close second place. As they get closer to adulthood, it is understandable that they would prefer "friends" to "family. It's as if they are growing apart from their parents.

It is interesting to note that for high school students, "sleeping" came in the top five for both males and females.
I don't know if it's because I don't sleep enough, or if the only time I feel peaceful is when I'm sleeping, but I'm sure many adults would rank sleeping as the time when they feel the happiest.

For me, "being with my family" comes first, followed by reading books or doing what I like.

I used to feel fulfilled and happy when I was "working," but lately I've been finding happiness in my everyday life.

In the same survey, respondents were also asked if they would like to get married in the future. Sixty percent of both males and females answered that they would like to get married, while the rest answered that they did not know. Only among elementary school girls, 70% said they wanted to get married.
The number of unmarried men and women is increasing, so I hope that these children's hopes will come true and they will get married and have happy families.
