Countries that should not send salt

There is a saying, "Send salt to the enemy.

During the Warring States period, in order to prevent the Kai daimyo Takeda Shingen from going to Kyoto to meet the Muromachi Shogunate's request, the neighboring Suruga daimyo Imagawa cut off the supply of salt, an essential commodity. The word "salt" is derived from the legend that Uesugi Kenshin, a feudal lord of Echigo, who was a sworn enemy of Takeda Shingen, continued to send salt to Shinshu.

It was reported yesterday that in Niigata, which is associated with Kenshin Uesugi, Foreign Minister Hayashi expressed his intention to support North Korea, where the situation of corona infection is worsening.

When I saw this report, I could not believe my eyes for a moment.

North Korea is not only a criminal state that has abducted many Japanese nationals, but also a dictatorship that has developed nuclear weapons and has repeatedly launched missiles into the Sea of Japan this year.

Niigata is also the place where the iconic abductee Megumi Yokota was abducted.
The fact that he would make such a statement in support of North Korea in the very place where he made such a statement is quite shocking.

Foreign Minister Hayashi has long been said to be a pro-China and pro-South Korea politician, and is even said to be unqualified to serve as Foreign Minister.

Just the other day, he happily attended the inauguration of the new president of South Korea.
Around the time of the inauguration, South Korea conducted an unannounced oceanographic survey in Japan's exclusive economic zone, and did not even protest.

Foreign Minister Hayashi's comments come on the heels of President Biden, who has been visiting Japan since yesterday, announcing at a joint press conference with the South Korean president that he is prepared to provide a corona vaccine to North Korea.
In other words, Japan is aiming to show that it is ready to join the U.S. in supporting North Korea's efforts to infect its people with coronas.

It is up to South Korea and the U.S. to provide support for corona infection in North Korea, but I do not understand why Japan, the country most threatened by North Korea, would provide support.

I hope that Prime Minister Kishida, who seems to think only of the House of Councillors election this summer, and Foreign Minister Hayashi, who is damaging the national interest, will quit as soon as possible.
The LDP, which cannot get these people to quit, is also out of its depth.
