Finally, but still need boosters.

Finally, from September 7, negative proof of PCR testing will no longer be required for entry into Japan.
In the last five weeks, Japan has had the highest number of corona cases in the world and the second highest number of deaths after the United States, NHK reported. The number of people infected during the week of August 15-21 was a staggering 1,476,374.
It is a great honor to be the world's number one.

Despite such a high number of infected people in Japan, it is now a joke that people are not allowed to enter Japan without a negative proof within 72 hours in the name of waterfront measures. I am not the only one who thinks what the government is doing is too dumb.
The government finally realized this and decided to allow them to enter the country without negative proof, with conditions. The condition is that the person must have received three doses of corona vaccine.

In countries such as the United Kingdom and France, vaccination and other requirements have already been eliminated. However, since most countries require vaccination as a condition for entry, Japan is finally at the same level as the rest of the world.

In the case of the Philippines, negative certification is not required if the patient has received a booster dose of the Corona vaccine (three doses of the vaccine in Japan). If there is no booster vaccination, negative certification within 24 hours prior to travel is required.

My wife is going back home to the Philippines in November. I have not been vaccinated for the third time as I wrote in my previous blog. So if we go to the Philippines together, I need to get negative certificates twice, once when I leave the country and once when I return. If the negative proof is positive, I will be quarantined.

It is said that there were many Japanese who tested positive in Cebu this summer and were unable to return to their home countries. For those who have jobs, it is absolutely necessary to avoid a situation where they cannot return to their home countries.
So, my trip to the Philippines in November will be difficult.
