Oh! Oh, no! Safety first!

At 11:07 AM on the 23rd, Korean Air flight KE631 overran Cebu Airport after landing and was severely damaged.

At the time, the area near Cebu Airport was experiencing heavy rain, and the Korean Air plane failed to land after two attempts, and after landing a third time, it could not stop on the runway and plunged into the greenbelt (landing strip).

Fortunately, all 162 passengers and 11 crew members were safe.
The passengers on the plane (112 foreigners, 32 returnees to the Philippines, and 18 overseas Filipino workers) were housed in a nearby hotel.

Due to this accident, the airport was closed and all aircraft were unable to take off and land.
However, until the Korean Air aircraft is removed from the airport, no flights will be allowed to take off or land except during these hours for two weeks, so many flights will be cancelled. Many flights are expected to be forced to cancel their flights.

Cebu Mactan Airport, which can take off and land 24 hours a day, has the second largest number of passengers after Manila's Ninoy Aquino Airport, and most flights, especially those from overseas, take off during the nighttime hours, so the impact of this accident is significant.
It is reported that a large number of cancellations have already been made by hotel guests.

If this had been a month later, it would have been very difficult. The situation would have made it impossible to return to Japan.
I am sure the pilot of this plane did not want to cause the accident, but safety is the top priority.
