Filipino wife takes a picture of the total lunar eclipse

A total lunar eclipse began in the evening of November 8.
Fortunately, the sky was clear and cloudless, and the clear autumn air provided an unobstructed view of the moon in the shadow of the earth.

My wife, who had never been interested in the mid-autumn full moon, took out her camera and started taking pictures of the waning moon from the balcony without even eating when she got home from work this time.。

This year's total lunar eclipse was a special one, as it also allowed us to observe the eclipse of Uranus hidden by the moon. The last time there was a total lunar and Uranus eclipse was 442 years ago, on June 15, Tensho 8. The eclipse of Saturn was also observed that year.

The next time we will see a total lunar and planetary eclipse like this one is said to be in 2344, 322 years from now. No one alive today will be able to see it.
The next total lunar eclipse will be visible in Japan on September 8, 2025, so even I may be able to see this one.

It seems that a total lunar eclipse was observed in the Philippines and became a big topic of conversation. Last May 26 was a supermoon total lunar eclipse, but I don't remember it. Apparently, it was cloudy in Kanto area on that day.

The moon in the eye-catcher was borrowed from a photo taken by my wife. When you put them side by side, you can clearly see the round shadow of the earth. Thank you, my wife, for taking this picture in the cold weather.
