The condominium in which I live was completed in 1982, so it will soon be 41 years old.
Just like human beings, buildings age and need periodic renovation work.
In the last large-scale renovation work, they did the entrance door and stairs. This time, they are working on the drainage pipes.
The construction period is six months long, from last October to the end of March this year.
The construction of our house was scheduled for three days in February. On the first day, it took less than an hour just to cure the inside of the building. The third day was a spare day, I guess, for the work on the upper floors of our house, which was completed without any drainage restrictions.
Nevertheless, the residents were asked to stay home for three days because construction workers could enter the rooms if there were unforeseen circumstances.
The construction work included some concrete raking, which caused some noise. Otherwise, the restrooms were not available, so we had to go to the construction restrooms, which was a bit inconvenient. However, the restrooms were located just down the stairs outside the house, so they were close by, which was good.
This work has extended the useful life of the condominium by 30 to 40 years, so I will be able to continue living in it at least as long as I live.
