Celebrating my wife's birthday

September 9 is my wife's birthday.
We talked together about how she would spend her birthday.
I asked her what she would like to get for her birthday, and she said she wanted shoes. I suggested that we go to Kashiwa to buy shoes and then go to a restaurant, but she was not very enthusiastic.
The shoes she wants are Nike sneakers, and she wants to go to Ami Premium Outlets.

My wife worked the night shift the day before, so after a nap, we would have to take the train and bus to get to Ami Premium Outlets in the late afternoon. So we decided to go out with Times Car Share.
Unfortunately, the cars at Ryugasaki-shi station were out of service, so we had to take the train to Ushiku station and use the car at the car station in Ushiku.

It takes less than 30 minutes by car from Ushiku Station to Ami Premium Outlets. The car sharing fee was almost the same as taking the bus for the two of us, so the car is easier.

My wife must have enjoyed shopping, because there were some shoes that didn't fit her size, but she ended up buying two pairs and two shirts.

My wife saw a signboard menu outside a chain izakaya at Ushiku station and wanted to go there. We went back to Ryukasaki Station and entered the izakaya.
Come to think of it, this was the first time my wife and I went to an izakaya together.

The pictures on the menu were fine, but the food that came out was poor and disappointing compared to the pictures. The taste was not bad, but there was no volume. I guess this is what you would expect from a chain izakaya. The price was also expensive compared to the quality and quantity of the food.
We left the restaurant and bought a burger set at McDonald's and ate it at home.
Next year, I would like to celebrate at a proper restaurant.
