One thing to be aware of when doing internet distribution such as YouTube, vlogs and internet radio is copyright.
The images on this blog are either copyright-free or I use my own photos and illustrations.
I can create my own images, but when it comes to music, I am completely out of my depth. That's where I'm going to use royalty-free materials.
There are many music materials available on the Internet, both free and paid for, for example, the official music distribution site of YouTube also has a number of music materials that my wife uses.
In the case of YouTube, if you are using a non-copyright-free song, you will get a warning message that you need to remove the song and replace it with another one.
So I decided to download safe music from the Internet. There are some free music sites, but it's hard to find a song you like. So I decided to use a reputable paid site.
The first one I signed up for was Epidemic Sound. It's a Swedish site that offers not only music but also sound effects for just $15 a month. However, with a Personal subscription, you can only use it on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc., and you can only use it on one channel each. This means that if you want to start multiple channels on YouTube and use the music, you will need to sign up for each channel, which is expensive.
It was a very good pay site and the quality of the music was good, and it was easy to find the music I was imagining, but it was a bit restrictive, so I decided to look for another pay site.
After much deliberation, I signed up with the following two pay sites for a yearly contract but with a wide range of uses (including commercial use).
Artlist ($119 per year. This time it was on promotion, so $199 for 14 months) and "Soundstripe" ($149 per year, this time it's 40% off for $89).
I have the impression that "Artlist" has a lot of music with a strong beat line, while "Soundstripe" has a lot of jazz and easy listening. Soundstripe has a lot of jazz and easy listening music, so it's easy to find your favorite music. I feel like it's easy to find the music you like. And since it can work with Adobe premiere pro, it's going to come in handy.
A license is issued for both. For "Artlist," you'll receive a license like the one in the image below with each song you download.
In the case of "Standstripe," you have to submit the name and purpose of the project I want to use for each song, so even if I want to use the same song in other videos, I have to submit it again. This is a little bit of a hassle, but it's not a big one when I consider that I can use the music safely.
Since both sites allow me to provide third parties with videos with the music used, etc., it should be OK for me to edit my wife's videos and deliver them to her, and then she can upload them to her YouTube channel.
I'm thinking about making a video or radio program with music from this music site.
