Meet Cebu

It was July 1981, 39 years ago, when I went to Cebu for the first time.
I didn't know what Cebu was like, but I decided to go there because I heard it was a southern island and the sea was beautiful.

It was an All Nippon Airways (ANA) chartered tour for 4 days and 3.5 hours from Fukuoka. Even so, I remember that I was quite excited to go abroad for the first time. It was July 1981, 39 years ago, when I went to Cebu for the first time.

There were few high buildings in Cebu at that time, and I got the impression that Cebu was a really poor country in the south, because it was raining heavily and the streets were like a river and people were not using umbrellas.

Nevertheless, nature was just as I expected, and the bunker boat ride around the island was a lot of fun.
Coral sea, sandy beach, and palm trees were just what I had longed to see in the southern island. It was Cebu!

About 40 years have passed since then. I never thought at that time that I would make a plan to move there with my wife from Cebu.

This blog is about the day-to-day life of our plan to move to the city in the next two years.
